Surgery can be a highly stressful and vulnerable moment for patients and their families. My favorite thing about my job as an anesthesiologist is being a calming presence, ensuring my patients' safety, and alleviating their pain and anxiety. I joined University of Iowa Health Care because of its unwavering commitment to clinical excellence and the collaborative spirit of the surgical teams. What inspires me every day is the privilege of guiding patients safely through their procedures, knowing they are in the best possible hands.
