About Marisa R.
I am inspired to treat head and neck cancer patients and help guide them through treatment planning, surgery, and postoperative care. It is important to me that I connect to my patients and that we function as a team throughout their treatment. I joined University of Iowa because there is no better hospital to treat complicated patients and work with excellent colleagues. I also have a PhD in Molecular Cancer Biology and in addition to my clinical practice I am interested in how cancer cells behave and what we can do to improve patient outcomes.
