Since I was a child, my greatest dream has been to become a doctor. I’ve always been driven by a desire to help others, and anesthesiology allows me to do that profoundly—by alleviating suffering and ensuring patients feel safe and cared for during critical moments. I joined the University of Iowa because of its strong culture of collaboration, excellence in perioperative care, and the warm, welcoming community that immediately made my family and me feel at home. What I find most rewarding about my work is the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives. I’m inspired by the blend of science and compassion that defines medicine and deeply value the trust that patients place in our care. UI Health Care stands out for its commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and teamwork, creating an environment where both patients and professionals thrive. Practicing medicine here allows me to grow as a clinician, educator, and colleague, and I’m grateful to be part of such a dedicated and forward-thinking team.
