What drew me to this field was the fascinating way physiology and pharmacology come together so quickly to help patients. But more than that, I really enjoy being with people during some of their most vulnerable and critical moments and helping them feel safe and supported. It reminds me daily of both the precision and the responsibility involved in patient care.
I joined the University of Iowa because of the warm, supportive community here. What inspires me most is knowing that with compassion, careful attention, and teamwork, I can help patients and their families feel safe and cared for.
I believe that compassionate, attentive care has the power to make a real difference - not only in outcomes but also in the trust and confidence patients place in us. I strive to bring both technical expertise and empathy into every aspect of my work.
