My favorite thing about my job is hearing from patients that their symptoms are much better controlled or have even resolved since our last visit. Oftentimes small changes in medicines or therapies can make a big difference in my patient's lives. One of my favorite examples is starting a medicine for a child with asthma, and hearing from the parent at follow up that their child can 'just be a kid and play now' without having to sit out from asthma symptoms.
