About Christopher Iverson

Christopher Iverson, MD, received his medical degree from University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine. During medical school, he simultaneously earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the UI Henry B. Tippie College of Business. After medical school, he completed his residency in Occupational Medicine at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. As a part of his Occupational Medicine training, Iverson earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the UI College of Public Health. Iverson is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Occupational Medicine.

He brings first-hand experience in the fields of both medicine and business to the specialty of Occupational Medicine. A foundation in both fronts provides a unique skill set well suited to effectively navigate the challenges that accompany identification and treatment of work-related exposures and subsequent health problems.

Dr. Iverson is available to see individuals for occupational and environmental exposures, work injuries, pre-placement evaluations, impairment ratings, and independent medical evaluations. He is also a FMCSA Certified Medical Examiner able to perform DOT physicals for commercial drivers.
