Tyler Slayman, MD, is a family medicine and sports medicine physician who specializes in treating patients with orthopedic pain and injury. He treats orthopedic conditions including knee, shoulder, and hip pain, including osteoarthritis and tendinopathy. He also specializes in the care of endurance athletes. He is an expert at treating these conditions through preventative methods using movement as medicine, physical therapy, and injections to get back to your active life.

He actively participates in research involving endurance athlete and return to sport in postpartum women.

Slayman received his medical degree from the University of Iowa before completing his residency in Family Medicine at John Peter Smith Health Network. He completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Iowa.
