Welcome to the new University of Iowa Health Care Organ Transplant Center Website. Our mission is to offer world class transplantation services to Iowans, Midwesterners and the world and our goal with this site is to provide you a tool to access a wide variety of information about what we do and who we are.

On this site you can learn about the different types of organs we transplant, meet the members of the different teams, understand the processes involved and see what makes us stand out as your best choice to partner with for your transplant. Whether it’s our outstanding outcomes, waiting times that are shorter than the national averages, streamlined and patient focused processes, the rare diseases we specialize in, our personalized and caring touch, or all of these things that speak to you, the information is easily found with a few clicks on the pages of this website.

The site was designed for patients and their referring physicians, and I hope you will take a few minutes to share the compelling stories and videos of the patients who have walked these steps before you; their journeys are emotional and enlightening. In addition, there are links to a number of useful resources on the site for new and current patients including information on support group activities, educational materials, referral pathways and other protected electronic medical record resources such as Epic’s MyChart (for patient access) and UI CareLink™ (for affiliated physicians).
