Evidence-Based Practice: An Introduction is a self-guided course that includes six modules, consisting of short videos and quizzes. Throughout the modules, users will build a foundation and grow their EBP skills by following the steps of The Iowa Model Revised: Evidence-Based Practice to Promote Excellence in Health Care©. The course introduces tools from Evidence-Based Practice in Action: Comprehensive Strategies, Tools, and Tips for each step of the EBP process.
Course includes:
- Introduction to EBP and the Iowa Model Revised: Evidence-Based Practice to Promote Excellence in Health Care©
- Early steps in the Iowa Model
- Assemble, appraise, and synthesize the body of evidence
- Design and pilot the practice change including evaluation and implementation
- Integrate and sustain the practice change
- Disseminate results
- Patient engagement and leadership
Upon completion of the entire course, four contact hours will be granted by University of Iowa Health Care, Department of Nursing (Iowa Board of Nursing Approved Provider #34).
