If you have recurring ear, nose, or throat problems despite treatment from your primary care provider, it may be time to see an otolaryngologist—also known as an ear, nose, and throat (ENT) doctor.

One-stop otolaryngology care

Comprehensive otolaryngologists diagnose and treat a broad range of conditions. Some also subspecialize and see patients with very specific conditions in the head or neck. 

This means you may be able to get all the services you need (including testing, diagnosis, and treatments), from the same ENT provider.  

Tests and treatments that aren’t widely available

When you choose one of our otolaryngologists, you also have access to state-of-the-art procedures that aren’t offered at most smaller ENT clinics. These include:  

Upper airway stimulation therapy:

This small, implantable device treats people with moderate to severe sleep apnea who can’t tolerate CPAP therapy. After the device is implanted under the skin in your upper chest, it stimulates the muscles that keep your airway open while you sleep.

Sialendoscopy:

This minimally invasive procedure is used for both diagnosis and treatment of salivary gland disease. It lets us see inside your salivary glands to determine if you have a blockage or infection. And it lets us remove salivary stones or fix salivary ducts instead of cutting out the entire gland.

Stapedectomy:

This procedure can help restore hearing in people with abnormal bone growth in their middle ear (otosclerosis). We replace a tiny bone called the stape with an artificial device.

In some cases, our otolaryngologists diagnose conditions that require an advanced level of care. If you have one of these conditions—such as acoustic neuroma or Meniere’s disease—we can help.
