Our experts provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment in the clinic setting as well as surgical interventions for all kidney diseases and disorders.

Our inpatient renal/medicine unit is devoted to caring for patients with special kidney problems and patients with end-stage renal disease as well as patients with general medical problems.

The dialysis program at UI Hospitals & Clinics provides kidney replacement therapy for patients with acute kidney failure and chronic kidney failure. In addition to in-center dialysis, we have one of the longest-running home dialysis programs in the country and trains patients with end-stage kidney disease to perform peritoneal dialysis or hemodialysis in the home.

We also have a transplantation service that provides expertise in transplantation medicine to patients who receive a kidney transplant as well as those who receive heart, lung, pancreas and liver transplants.
