About Emily Boevers
I grew up in rural Iowa, surrounded by people who understood hard work, resilience and community. Those early experiences shaped my approach to medicine and continue to remind me that healthcare is, at its core, about showing up for people. As an ob-gyn, I am continually inspired by the strength of my patients and the privilege of being part of their stories.
Growing up and then practicing in my rural community deepened my belief that geography should never determine the quality of care someone receives. It also motivated my interest in health policy and law. I joined UI Health Care because it represents the best of what medicine can be — a place where education, innovation and compassionate care improve health for all Iowans.
