I feel like I am truly getting holistic health care and that my care is integrated across providers, given my health history.

The compassionate care and being seen as an individual. I truly feel respected, listened to, and that my concerns and anxieties are always seen as valid health concerns and that I am not being paranoid or overreacting due to my skin health history and overall health history - with both melanoma and ovarian cancer. I am also considering getting Fraxel done due to some acne scarring on my face - now that I am an empty nester and can afford to pursue this. I always feel comfortable bringing up issues and questions and am never treated as if I'm being vain or that my questions or concerns are not valid or important.

The resident treated me as a partner in my care by offering the information I needed to make the choices that were best for me in this dermatology care situation. He performed a small punch biopsy procedure with care and concern for my comfort. Dr Van Beek was very gracious to offer her extra time to check a few skin things for me. Thank you Dr Van Beek for taking my time and distance traveled into consideration to complete my skin check appointment. Again the resident was very approachable, kind and skilled. He made me feel comfortable even in the presence of a med student. I can't remember his name but would like you to let him know I said than you.

Dr. Van Beek and the rest of the team were very supportive, thorough and also open to any questions or concerns I had. I felt that Dr. Van Beek was very patient centered and understood my main concerns and addressed them. I did notice that because of needing to be on the EMR for consent forms etc, Dr. Van Beek barely made direct eye contact with me until well into the visit. After that she was very attentive. Excellent clinician who I would recommend to others with no hesitation.

Dr. Van Beek and others did a thorough check. When I showed and spoke about my area of concern it was decided a biopsy was needed. Dr. Van Beek explained what she thought was going on and how she'd proceed. The biopsy was performed, with directions how to treat the wound and how I would receive the results of the biopsy. Any time I asked a question or needed further Instructions I was given a thorough answer and never did I feel rushed or my concerns minimized.

I really like Marta. She is great! I point out a spot in question & she tells me what it is & what she can do about it. (freeze it, cream, burn) This particular scrape & burn procedure was so fast I couldn't believe it. I think it only took 10 minutes.
