About Mohsen Karimi
My favorite thing about my job is I get to come to work every day and help children with their inborn heart disease. This provides immense drive and purpose for what I do as a pediatric heart surgeon. I like working with patients with congenital heart defects because of the complexity of their care, making a difference in their survival and quality of life, and get to work with dedicated and compassionate stakeholders involved in their care. Although we have come a long way to improve the care and survivability of most, we still face challenges in some which inspires me to do what I do to improve their outcome.
