Being hospitalized can be one of the most uncertain and vulnerable moments in a person’s life. I consider it a privilege to care for patients during that time—to listen, help them understand what is happening, and guide them and their loved ones toward better health. I was drawn to University of Iowa Health Care because of its culture of collaboration and its shared commitment to improving the lives of Iowans.
