This small organ-about the size of a pea is known as the body's master gland. Often, the cause of pituitary disorders is pituitary gland tumors that interfere with the normal formation and release of hormones. These tumors are fairly common in adults. They are not cancer. The tumors can cause production of too much or too little, in either case creating a hormonal imbalance.
Our team members treat pituitary gland disorders by hormone therapy, surgery or radiation therapy.
