Dr. Oetting is excellent. He is very personable, relates well to patients and is extremely knowledgeable. Sometimes, I feel like the residents are a little superficial in their interest in patients, especially if I am there for a routine exam. Several times over the years, I have felt that my questions/concerns are not investigated thoroughly by the resident. One additional big concern that I had is that it was so cold in the clinic that I was steaming up the lenses and could not get an accurate assessment of what correction I needed, especially when it is dark in the room. It was hard to tell if the lenses were steamy but I am pretty sure they were.

This doctor was absolutely fantastic. He was very thorough and explaining anything about my case. He did not just rush through my information but made sure that he understood every part of it. He explained any tests or results from current or past visits. He was so warm and friendly and inserted humor wherever possible to lighten the experience. I know he was extremely tired but he never showed it by word or action. I don't want ever to have another eye doctor for a long long time because I trust Dr o implicitly!

Dr. Oetting's the best eye doctor we have ever seen. He did an amazing job on my moms cataracts and has followed me for over 20 years as well. He is caring and has always recommended the finest treatment while involving us as well. I have gone to other providers in Michigan and I always come back to Iowa to see Dr. Oetting. An amazing guy. I like his background in engineering as well. This adds another dimension to his care as there is a biological and mechanical component to eye acuity and health. Thanks for all the great care!!!

The overall attitude of all the members to have a unified vision of how each of them is an important link in the delivery of exceptional and timely patient care.In the 4 years I have been coming to the Clinic due to detached retinas in both eyes necessitating multiple surgeries and then cataract surgeries, the entire staff from reception, optical aides, optical photography, and the medical specialists and MDs have always worked as a seamless constructive team with the comfort and care of the patient as uppermost in their deportment. I have witnessed people assisting pleasantly and unreservedly across "areas" to ensure this seamless service delivery. And having experienced and been employed in a variety of medical settings, I am extremely impressed with this department!
