MOMS stands for Maternal Opportunity for Medical Students. It is an opportunity for first and second year medical students to actively learn about obstetrics from a patient’s perspective.
What is involved in participating?
You will be paired with a medical student who will follow your pregnancy by attending your prenatal visits, procedures, and labor/delivery.
Why should I consider participating?
You and your partner develop a unique and special relationship with a medical student. You play an important role in training future doctors. By agreeing to participate in the MOMs program, you are providing a valuable and unique educational opportunity for a medical student.
Who is eligible to participate?
Pregnant women who have a due date is in February, March, April, or May are eligible to participate in the MOMS Program. To learn more, please talk to your nurse or care provider.
