About Heather Kowalski
Heather Kowalski, MD, is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon that specializes in malformations and diseases, including adolescent hip, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, scoliosis, skeletal dysplasia, developmental dysplasia of the hip, limb length difference, lower extremity deformity, and pediatric fractures. She is an expert at treating these conditions through operative and non-operative management.
She actively participates in research involving resident education and best practice opiate use in pediatric fracture management.
Kowalski received her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, before completing her residency at Henry Ford Health System also located in Detroit, and her pediatric orthopedic surgery fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati.
