Volunteer Services, Medical Center Downtown
We appreciate our amazing volunteers who donate their time, efforts and talents to improve the patient and family experience here. Whether you are interested in pursuing a career in medical or health sciences or looking for a way to give back, we have many great placements opportunities. Not all placements are available, and while no service area can be guaranteed in advance, our goal is to make the best possible service matches based on the needs of our patients and the interests of each one of our volunteers.

Become a Volunteer
Together in partnership with Volunteer Services at Medical Center University, our mission is to provide service and funding to benefit the patients, families and visitors at UI Health Care. We are committed to recruiting, selecting and training individuals seeking opportunities to serve as long-term volunteers.
All interested individuals must apply online and complete the preregistration. After the preregistration is complete, individuals can then be placed at their preferred campus location (MCU, MCD OR MCNL) and placement.
