Before surgery, your child’s anesthesiologist explains the plan in clear, easy-to-process terms. You’ll learn what will happen, how anesthesia works, and when your child wakes up. During surgery, we manage all medications, breathing, and monitoring, so the heart and body work safely together. 

After the procedure, your anesthesiologist coordinates directly with the pediatric cardiac ICU team for a seamless handoff and remains available to help manage your child’s recovery, if needed. 

Our team also supports children through multiple procedures over time, often seeing them again as they grow. That continuity of care builds trust and helps us anticipate each child’s unique needs.
