Nursing staff from the Burn Treatment Center, in collaboration with St. Florian Fire and Burn Foundation and Camp Foster YMCA, developed a weekend retreat for burn survivors ages 18-25. Late adolescence is an already challenging time. This weekend retreat was designed to help transition those who have participated in Miracle Burn Camp into their adult lives and other support systems.
Community volunteers, fire fighters, and health care providers educate and guide survivors on life skills and helpful hints for entering adulthood.
