Athletic Training

UI Sports Medicine Athletic Training provides the same cutting-edge expertise to active Iowans that is provided to the Iowa Hawkeyes sports teams.

Our athletic trainers assist with:

  • Injury diagnosis and treatment
  • Injury rehabilitation
  • Injury prevention
  • Sports performance enhancement
  • Navigating the health care system

Each athletic trainer is a multi-skilled health care professional who serves as a liaison between the patient, doctors, nurses, physical therapists, coaches, and parents, making sure we provide the best care possible throughout the entire process.

UI Sports Medicine athletic trainers are certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification and are licensed to practice in the state of Iowa.
