My favorite thing about my job is taking care of my patients. Most of my patients are very sick with liver disease, kidney failure, or have some tumors in the liver - all of which are very nerve-wracking diagnoses. My job is to tell them I am there for them and will take very good care of them, and these are the options. The second best part is to train the next generation of surgeons - residents and medical students along the way.
