About Orthopedics and Rehabilitation

Providers in the Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Department care for patients with diseases and injuries of the bones, joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Our care teams include physical therapists, rehabilitation specialists, nurses, advanced care providers, and other health-care professionals. We use the latest techniques to diagnose and treat a variety of orthopedic patients.

Our facilities include 48 beds, ten outpatient clinics, inpatient and outpatient operating rooms, a specialty library, a specialty radiology unit, physical therapy facilities, and rehabilitation facilities. We have specialty clinics that deal with scoliosis, clubfeet, congenital dislocated hip, neuromuscular disease, metabolic disease, amputation, neoplasm, trauma, and virtually every orthopedic disorder around. Physicians in our outpatient clinic see approximately 280 patients per day and over 70,000 patients per year. Orthopedics and rehabilitation surgeries are performed approximately 7,000 times each year.

Over the years, our contributions have included:

  • Groundbreaking multidisciplinary research into the prevention of osteoarthritis following joint injuries
  • Sports-injury protocols to identify and treat concussion and knee and ankle injuries promptly to foster healing and a quicker return to competition

We’re building on that legacy of innovation every day through practice, research, and education. We are committed to reducing pain and improving lives.
