IVF emotional considerations

Couples who choose in vitro fertilization (IVF) may find themselves on an emotional roller coaster, from elation to letdown. It's important to understand that your emotional health is a critical part of this experience and that these are normal reactions.

Feelings can range from desperation to isolation to a sense of loss of control. The actual treatment cycles can disrupt life schedules, particularly for women.
