Opportunities for Associate's Degree Registered Nurses

University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics is one of the best places to work as a nurse prepared with an associate’s degree in nursing (ADN). We provide you with a pathway to completing a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

We hire ADN-prepared nurses with the expectation they will complete their nursing bachelor’s degree within five years, and we give them the resources to do it:

  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Nurse mentoring

A workplace that promotes learning

Because we are an academic medical center, our work environment promotes learning and allows you to immediately put into practice the clinical and leadership skills you’re learning in the classroom.

Our support opportunities for nurses seeking their bachelor’s degree are worth considering.

  • You will be eligible to apply for up to $3,000 per year in tuition reimbursement in the first year of employment.
  • After you have been here one year as an RN, you may be eligible until fall 2019 for up to $2,000 per semester until a $6,000 cap is reached.
  • We don’t hold you to repayment obligations should you leave our employment.
