The Iowa Model

Our unique vision and commitment to EBP led to establishing and copyrighting the internationally acclaimed Iowa Model Revised: Evidence-Based Practice to Promote Excellence in Health Care^©.

The Iowa Model guides clinical decision-making and the EBP process from both a clinician and systems perspective. It is also the most frequently used EBP model in Magnet^® hospitals.

The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) awarded the Magnet Prize^® to the University of Iowa Health Care, recognizing the innovative use of EBP to positively impact patient care.
