Why University of Iowa Health Care

I chose UIowa because I was impressed by how well-rounded the PGY2 oncology program is. The program offers a strong foundational experience in hematological malignances and solid tumors in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I was especially drawn to the opportunity to be involved in drug policy and investigational drug services, since those are areas that I’m eager to grow in. The decentralized staffing model also stood out as an excellent way to continue developing my clinical skills within a large academic medical center. Above all, what has meant the most to me is how welcoming and supportive the pharmacy team has been. I really appreciate how willing they’ve been in tailoring my experiences to help me reach my goals.
