About Paari Dominic

Bringing the rhythm back to my patients' hearts, I believe, is essential to bringing the rhythm back to their lives. Heart rhythm management can be a daunting task utilizing the right blend of clinical expertise and the most advanced, cutting-edge technology. I am grateful that the University of Iowa provides me with the finest people, state-of-the-art technological resources and the conducive environment needed to provide the best care to my patients, research novel therapies and lead the field globally in cardiac rhythm management.

Paari Dominic, MBBS, MPH, is an adult cardiac electrophysiologist who specializes in treating patients with heart arrhythmias and central sleep apnea. He treats many heart rhythm conditions, including atrial fibrillation (Afib), vasovagal syncope, tachycardia, and more. He is an expert at treating these conditions through minimally invasive cardiac ablations, lead management, and implantable devices. 

He is actively involved in research involving atrial fibrillation and the link between hypertension and diabetes to Afib. 

Dr. Dominic received his medical degree from Stanley Medical College, before completing his residency at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. He completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics and cardiac electrophysiology at Yale University.

Much of this visit was with a resident without supervision from Dr. Dominic. There was a noticeable degree of caution or hesitancy during some exchanges of information, but adequate time was given to make sure I understood the process. At the end of the visit Dr. Dominic came in to the room to make sure I was okay with everything that had been discussed, which was very satisfactory.
