Our medical assistants help deliver the highest-quality patient care by:
- Assisting with physical examinations and preparing patients for their visit
- Documenting care, medications, and patient history using an electronic health record (EHR)
- Performing routine tests and procedures such as:
- Casting
- Dressing changes
- Electrocardiogram (EKG)
- Phlebotomy
- Suture and staple removal
- Point of care laboratory tests
- Pre-clean medical instruments and scopes and prepare for transportation
- Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens for routine and specialized testing
- Administering medications under the direction of a provider
- Preparing and routing prescription renewals to the provider
- Assisting with pre-authorization and prior authorizations
