Why consider a job as an imaging technologists?
UI Health Care imaging technologists cover several different types of positions--from X-ray technologists to sonographers to echocardiographer techs. We have openings in a variety of clinical settings and environments--from outpatient clinics to a Level 1 trauma center to high-tech catheterization labs. You'll also have the chance to participate in innovative research using advanced technology, some not yet available commercially.

You may start in one area and develop your skills and certifications to move into other areas in the organization. We provide on-the-job training, and ongoing reimbursements for CEU licensure renewal is available. The University of Iowa offers a four-year degree, but we do accept graduates of two-year licensed programs.
As the state’s only comprehensive academic medical center, UI Health Care offers imaging technologists the opportunity to work with the most-up-to-date MRI machines and breast imaging with contrast. UI Health Care offers flexible schedules for all three shifts and weekend options, including shift differentials.
