Our featured programs provide unique amenities for patients during their inpatient stay.
Wild Rose Gifts provides a much-needed service for our patients, visitors, and staff by offering an assortment of gifts, flowers, accessories, treat, and much more. The gift shop is staffed by volunteers who are ready to help you select the perfect gift!
This unique and fun space is located on the first floor of Stead Family Children’s Hospital and offers a retail experience specifically designed to welcome, engage, and comfort children and their families.
Show a loved one you’re thinking about them with a gift! Our online gift shop offers a selection of gifts from Wild Rose Gifts and Kaleidoscope Gift Shop. Available items range from newborn gifts to books for toddlers to Hawkeye apparel. Orders placed before 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday will be delivered the same day. In partnership with local businesses like The Java House, Heirloom Salad Company, Bread Garden Market, Oasis Falafel, Molly’s Cupcakes, and Cookies & More, the Rooftop Café offers beverages, snacks, soups, and sandwiches to patients, visitors, and staff in a comfortable lounge atmosphere. The adjacent Rooftop Terrace is open seasonally for all to enjoy.
Our licensed cosmetologists at the Fourth Floor Salon are here to help patients, visitors, and staff look their best so they can be their best! They specialize in a variety of services for hair, skin, and nails, and offer programs to support clients undergoing physical changes due to treatment or illness. The salon also carries a wide range of salon styling products available for purchase.
Massage therapy treatments performed by our Licensed Massage Therapist, are available to staff and visitors in the Fountain Lobby. Appointments can be made in person or by calling the Fourth Floor Salon.
Relaxation Station Massage Therapy is open Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Do you have a loved one in the hospital who could use a cheerful message? Use our Email a Patient program to send a personalized email. Each email is printed out and delivered straight to the patient by our hospital volunteers, Monday through Friday.
Research shows relationships with animals have a positive influence on health. Our Furry Friends program in partnership with Rehabilitation Therapies allows patients to experience the joy of a visiting dog, either their own or one certified for hospital visits.
