Academic Departments in the UI Carver College of Medicine
You'll find links to residency program descriptions, faculty listings and research activities for each of our academic departments.
Research at Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center
The Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center is working to discover more about the origins, prevention, development and treatment of cancer. We are focused on translating research advances in the laboratory to advances in patient care.
Nursing Research
UI Health Care nursing staff members conduct research independently and in collaboration with the UI College of Nursing. Their efforts are coordinated by the Nursing Research Committee.
Clinical Trials
UI Health Care faculty and staff conduct clinical trials and research studies in need of qualified participants. As an institution, we believe that bench research makes a difference in bedside medicine. We invite your inquiries concerning eligibility of patients for our clinical trials, including cancer trials conducted by members of the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Academic Library Resources
The Hardin Library for the Health Sciences houses a superb research collection of modern and historical works from the health sciences.
Research Collaboration
UI Health Care researchers actively participate in research projects with colleagues throughout the world. Many of the activities of our researchers are coordinated through the services of the Institute for Clinical and Translational Science.
Conflict of Interest
Conflict of Interest enforces regulations to assure appropriate relationships between UI Health Care staff and business interests.
