In fiscal year 2024, we recorded more than 34,000 inpatient admissions and over 54,000 emergency department visits. We performed over 38,000 major surgical operations and more than 202,000 minor surgical procedures.
In fiscal year 2024, we accommodated over 1.3 million clinic visits on our university campus and community and outreach clinics across Iowa.
We embrace our role as a collaborative, comprehensive health care center, receiving referrals from physicians around the region and country.
Many of our physicians also serve as faculty members in the UI Carver College of Medicine. Their teaching and research activities inform and complement the patient care we provide—giving you access to the latest treatments and therapies.
