Home Care Options and UI Community HomeCare
Members of our nursing staff and social services staff work with patients and families to arrange for appropriate care and equipment to follow the patient beyond their hospital care.
University of Iowa Health Care offers a full-service medical equipment and infusion services provider called UI Community HomeCare.
UI Community HomeCare nurses have expertise and certifications for providing chemotherapy, pediatric care, cardiac care, bone marrow transplant care, and infusion therapy. The staff also includes pharmacists, insurance specialists, and clinical support technicians. Services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in Iowa, western Illinois, and northern Missouri.

UI Community HomeCare
UI Community HomeCare is a full-service home infusion and medical equipment services provider. Our nurses teach patients to self-administer prescribed IV medications or tube feedings at home.
Through UI Community HomeCare's partnership with Durable Medical Equipment companies regionally located throughout the state of Iowa we will provide respiratory services and durable medical equipment to the patient in the home. As an affiliate of University of Iowa Health Care, UI Community HomeCare provides appropriate prescribed intravenous (IV) therapy or equipment aids at home for as long as necessary. Our services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
