University of Iowa Health Care offers skilled, intermittent home care services in several area communities, as well as full-service medical equipment and infusion services through an affiliate company called UI Community HomeCare.
Home Health Care
Home Health provides skilled, intermittent home care services in Johnson, Cedar, Iowa, Muscatine, Louisa, Washington, and Keokuk counties.
Their team will assess you in your home and work closely with your health care providers to develop an individualized care plan to meet your needs and goals.
Their knowledgeable staff is committed to providing care and education to assist you in maximizing your health while remaining in your home. Services include nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, medical social work services, and home health aide services.
UI Community HomeCare
UI Community HomeCare is an affiliate company of University of Iowa Health Care and is a full-service home infusion and medical equipment services provider that serves individuals living in Iowa, western Illinois, and northern Missouri.
Their nurses have expertise and certifications for providing chemotherapy, pediatric care, cardiac care, bone marrow transplant care, and infusion therapy, and can teach patients to self-administer some prescribed IV medications or tube feedings at home.
In addition, UI Community HomeCare can provide respiratory services and durable medical equipment to patients in their homes. As an affiliate company of UI Health Care, UI Community HomeCare provides appropriate prescribed intravenous (IV) therapy or equipment aids at home for as long as necessary.
