Traffic Notifications for UI Health Care Locations

Parking Ramp 2 closure Aug. 14–17

Parking Ramp 2 will be closed from 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, to 3 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17, for maintenance. All vehicles must be removed from the ramp by 6 p.m. Friday or they will be towed. Please plan transportation accordingly and allow extra time for commuting if possible.

Traffic impacts around university campus July 10 through August

Restoration work on Hawkins Drive will impact pedestrian and car traffic around UI Health Care’s university campus. These impacts will occur on weekends — from 6 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. Monday — between July 10 and the end of August. 

  • The hospital loop southbound out of Parking Ramp 1 will be closed. Traffic exiting Parking Ramp 1, the university campus main entrance, or Stead Family Children’s Hospital main entrance will be directed along Hospital Drive to Newton Road. 
    • UI Health Care’s valet service will continue to be offered. 
  • Hawkins Drive will be restricted to one lane of northbound and southbound traffic. 
  • Pedestrians should follow posted signage near the work site to access temporary detours to the university campus.
