University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics provides this information to better educate users on common medical issues. Permitted uses

University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics authors allow duplication of their information for personal use. There is no need to secure permission from University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics for these permitted uses. Here are examples of permitted use:

Permissions policy for all other uses

Electronic publishing
The authors and publishers of uihc.org, require written permission for duplicating uihc.org material in other electronic forms such as other Web sites, intranet sites, CD-ROMs, DVDs, smartphone apps etc. Any such use of uihc.org material must receive specific written approval from the author. To secure that permission, please complete and submit our permission form.
Patient education materials
The authors and publishers of uihc.org, require written permission for duplicating uihc.org material in print or electronic format when these materials are used outside of UI Health Care for patient education and after-visit instructions. To secure that permission, please complete and submit our permission form.
Textbook and journal publishers
